The Atascadero Greyhound Athletic Foundation will honor eight former athletes, a former coach and a longtime supporter by inducting them into the Atascadero Greyhound Athletic Hall of Fame at a third annual induction dinner on Saturday October 17, 2009, at Santa Margarita Ranch. A social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with food service and introductions to follow.

The class includes: athletes Wayne Cooper (‘62), Greg Baxter (’80), Greg Mueller (’81), Bobby Brandon (’83), Sean Knoph (’84), Cindy Morris (’87), Kenny McMurray (’93) and Tara Thompson (’94); coach Jim Greenman (’68) and supporter Joel Clay (‘84).

The honorees will be introduced prior to Atascadero High School’s home football game against Righetti on Friday, October 16, and ride a “Greyhound Hall of Fame” float in Atascadero’s Colony Days parade on the morning of their induction.
